Movies Inspired From the Games

29th December

Mortal Combat (1990-s). Most of us here have probably heard it before as it’s one among the best violent and fighting games even been developed. In fact, it’s a very first game wherein the roles are been played by the real actors. Mortal Combat, a perfect combination of martial arts and eastern mythology, have gained an extremely preference by people at that time. However, its second part that has been released in 1997 failed to do so.

Doom (1993) – Doom holds a straightforward plot: walk ahead, change weapons and keep on shooting as long as your game is over. The movie based on such simplicity finally released in year 2005. But unfortunately audiences get highly disappointed with the movie. In fact, the leading character, The Rock, was even nominated as the “Worst Actor” at Razzie Awards.

Lara Croft (2001-2003) – Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, released in 2001, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, released in 2003. These two movies were released one after another and both these movies gained extreme popularity and preference probably due to the appearance of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.

Hitman (2007) – Hitman ultimately hits the theater in the year 2007 taking the plot and roots from the “Hitman” game. Nameless agent 47 don’t remember anything else about him, not even his own name but has a tattoo “barcode” on his neck, and work as a professional killer under the International Contract Agency. In the movie, the leading role was played by the Timothy Olyphant.

Moreover, I still like to mention “Alone in the Dark”, a movie that has been released in the year 2005, which was derived from the video game entitled “Alone in the Dark”. For your kind information, this movie secured its place in 2 nominations “Worst Director” and “Worst Actress” in Razzie Awards. Furthermore, 2 parts of the “House of Dead” won “Worst Film” award.
